The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, representing Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, will go tomorrow, Monday, July 4, to Lugano, Switzerland, in order to participate in the working dinner of the heads of delegations participating in the Ukraine Recovery Conference.
Presidents, prime ministers and ministers of approximately 40 countries, representatives of international organizations, the president of the European Commission, as well as the general secretary of the Council of Europe are expected to participate in this Conference.
The goal of the Conference, among other things, is the practical manifestation of solidarity in Ukraine in order to avoid social and economic crises as well as the preparation of long-term plans for the reconstruction of the country, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It is noted that this is the fifth Conference to take place, but due to the Russian invasion it is the first with the above name. The previous four (London 2017, Copenhagen 2018, Toronto 2019 and Vilnius 2021) were titled Ukraine Reform Conference.
