In the AIF the maintenance of the register of internal auditors of the private sector

The adequacy of the formal and essential qualifications of the profession of internal auditor, in order to serve the main purposes of internal audit, is ensured by the provisions of the law of the Ministry of Development and Investment, entitled “Reform and modernization of the regulatory framework for organization, operation and operation “Regulations for the exercise of leisure activities and the simplification of the framework of activities in education, improvements in the chamber legislation and other provisions of the Ministry of Development and Investment”, the Economic Chamber of Greece (OEE) states in an announcement.

The enacted provisions regulate the terms and conditions for the exercise of the profession of internal auditor in private sector companies and designate the Economic Chamber of Greece as a Public Authority, which will issue the professional identity of internal auditor and will manage the respective register.

With the procedures that will follow regarding the control of the supporting documents, which will be attached to the announcement of the beginning of the profession, the AIF ensures that the profession of internal auditor will be exercised by Individuals, who have the necessary formal and substantive qualifications in order to the main purposes of internal control are served.

As OEE notes, the passage of the bill of the Ministry of Development by the vast majority of members of the Greek Parliament (ND, SYRIZA-PS, KIN.AL., MERA25), makes a request of many years of the Chamber. “The establishment of the profession of internal auditor will contribute to the strengthening of private sector companies and better risk management, in order to achieve their goals to the maximum possible result”, he concludes.
