The Spentza distillery was founded in 1892 in Pergamon, Central Asia by George Spentza (1st generation) and continued in 1948 by Dimitrios Spentza (2nd generation) in Mytilene, Lesvos, under the name “OUZO VETO” of Mytilene. In 2004 George Spentzas (3rd generation) with core values of quality, consistency, innovation and passion for progress and development, achieved the approval of the first nationwide official license, from the General Chemistry of the state, for bottling and marketing ouzo in metal containers. In 2013, George’s son, Dimitris Spentzas, having as a legacy the successful course of its predecessors, continues the tradition with innovative ideas and a spirit of renewal. All these years, the Spentza distillery combines modern methods and values for the production of its products, aiming to constantly offer the best products in the Greek and world market.
