Apple is currently testing the new iOS 15 mobile operating system among developers and the general public. In the fresh beta version of iOS 15 at number 4, users have discovered a new useful feature for everyone who often takes photos on a smartphone.
The system started to process photos better under certain lighting conditions. Photos now automatically remove lens flare, which is often seen in landscape photography.
Initially, users of the social news resource Reddit drew attention to the innovation. At first, the usual highlights are noticeable in the picture, but in the final version they are automatically removed.
Reddit users confirm that the iPhone XS, iPhone 11, and iPhone 12 can handle and remove glare in photos. It’s still unclear if older iPhones can do the same, as many of iOS 15’s features are only available on phones with Apple’s A12 Bionic SoC or newer.
The release of the stable version of iOS 15 is scheduled for fall 2021.
