In the oldest crypto officer of Turkey, $ 48 million was stolen

BTCTURK, the oldest cryptocurrency exchange of Turkey, confirmed the security incident associated with its hot wallets.

The Cyvers blockchain security platform recorded unusual outputs of funds about $ 48 million in Ethereum, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Base, Optim, Mantle and Polygon networks. Most of the funds were sent to two addresses and then exchanged for other assets.

The exchange said that suspicious activity was discovered during planned inspections on August 14, 2025. As a precaution, the deposits and the conclusions of cryptocurrencies are temporarily suspended while the investigation is underway.

BTCTURK assured customers that most of the assets are stored in cold wallets and remains safe. Deposits, conclusions and trade in Turkish lyres continue as usual.

The authorities are notified, and security measures are introduced. The attacker continues to move and exchange stolen assets, which makes efforts to return them extremely urgent.
