The Chinese chipset rating organization Geekwan has released its latest ranking of mobile processors, according to which the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 from Qualcomm took only eighth place. Often in Chinese ratings, domestic models are on the first lines, but this time it’s not like that – Apple processors have a clear leadership in the top ten.
In the Geekwan rankings, the top 10 looks like this (the first place has a huge lead):
- Apple M1 (in iPad) – 295.4 points;
- Apple A12Z – 198.5 points;
- Apple A15 (in iPhone 13 Pro Max) – 193.7 points;
- Apple A12X – 190.1 points;
- Apple A15 (in iPhone 13) – 176 points;
- Apple A14 (in iPad) – 168.4 points;
- MediaTek Dimensity 9000 – 167.9 points;
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 – 153.6 points;
- Apple A14 – 148.5 points;
- Apple A13 – 129 points.
It is important to note that MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 overtook Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 – the new Chinese processor stands out with support for ray tracing technology (which was used in 3D wallpapers), but at the moment it is installed in only two smartphones.
It’s also worth emphasizing that the Chinese organization hasn’t tested Samsung’s latest Exynos 2200 found in the Galaxy S22 series flagships.
