In the House of Representatives of the US Congress, a bipartisan bill on the security of transatlantic communications was presented, which, among other things, provides for a partnership with Ukraine. This is reported on Facebook by the Ukrainian embassy in Washington.
As noted, the bill provides for the creation of a coalition of democratic allies and partners of the United States in Central and Eastern Europe. It is being created to counter global challenges in the field of telecommunications, in particular, those challenges that come from Russia and China.
The project also provides assistance to Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova and the countries of the Western Balkans in the restoration and strengthening of telecommunications infrastructure and networks of cross-border communications, write in the diplomatic service.
The embassy separately noted that the bill was submitted for consideration by the agreement of the Ukrainian caucus, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, and member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Congress, Adam Kinzinger.
