In Tocantins, municipality wants to grant the beach to the private sector for three years

The Municipality of Peixe, a city in the south of Tocantins, opened a public notice aimed at the private sector that contemplates the right to economically exploit the Tartaruga Ecopraia for a period of three years.

The destination is one of the best beaches in the state, according to the opinion of tourists. According to the city hall, every year a complete infrastructure is set up to receive residents and tourists, with programming of artistic shows and cultural and sports activities – but the events will not be possible this year due to the financial situation of the region.

The decision to grant to the private sector, according to the public notice, is to expand tourism and move the municipality’s economy – since “the financial situation of the Municipality is not good at all, since this administration has other priorities to be fulfilled.” ”, says the text.

The document, released on May 13, received proposals from interested companies until 2 pm on Wednesday (25).

The proposal aims to explore the parking area and the entire beach space, with around 2,000 square meters for the chosen company.

In addition, the document says that the winning company must provide the services of “organization, operation, coordination and execution of all events, with the supply of materials, furniture, equipment, sound, logistical support, technical support material, hiring security guards”. , artistic shows, advertising services, Permits for Licenses and Health Surveillance, and everything else that is necessary to meet the demands of tourist events.”

The season at Ecopraia da Tartaruga will be annually from June to August.
