A large military parade is underway in Washington, with President Donald Trump present today. The military parade was organized to honor the 250th anniversary of the US Army, and comes a few days after sending troops to Los Angeles to tackle protests against the operations of the Migration and Customs Service. The parade is the largest demonstration of military force in the US capital, at least since 1991, when a parade with tanks, soldiers and rockets marked the end of the first war of the Gulf. According to the Army announcement, the parade “celebrates the history of the army and includes military equipment, air demonstrations and 6,700 soldiers in uniforms of the past and present. It will be completed with a ranking and reintegration ceremony, a paratrooper demonstration by Golden Knights and fireworks. ”
