WhatsApp is working on privacy settings. In particular, a new function that will allow you to hide the last visit to the messenger, as well as your profile picture and information about yourself from certain contacts. According to WABetaInfo, the developers are currently testing the option “My Contacts Except …” (“My contacts, except …”), it should appear in the beta version of the application for iOS and Android.
WhatsApp currently offers three options for displaying status, information about yourself, and a profile photo. The messenger allows you to hide from everyone, make them visible to those who have a given user’s phone number, or only to users from the contact list. With the help of the new function, you can select users who should not see the status and other information specified in the profile.
As you can see in the screenshot, the option appeared in the “Privacy” section. It is worth noting that if a user hides his last visit, account photo and information about himself for a specific contact, he will also not be able to see this information in his profile.
Along with the new privacy option, WhatsApp is also working on several other features. Among them – the transfer of correspondence from iPhone to Android, reactions to messages, a shortcut for payments and many other innovations.
