One hundred and five projects, with a total budget of 340 million euros, are included in the program for local government “Antonis Tritsis”, by decision of the Deputy Minister of Interior, Stelios Petsas.
The acts concern, inter alia:
Eighteen projects in the priority axis “Quality of life and orderly operation of cities, rural areas and settlements” with a total budget of 104.1 million euros, such as the project for the renovation of refugee homes in the Municipality of Patras, amounting to 10.8 million euros.
Seven projects in the priority axis “Environment”, with a total budget of 58.4 million euros, which concern integrated programs for the treatment of waste in large urban centers and municipalities across the country.
Seventeen projects related to rural road construction, with a total budget of 47.6 million euros, concerning the improvement and upgrading of the rural road network in areas such as the Municipality of Florina, the Municipality of Metsovo and the Municipality of the Holy City of Messolonghi.
In addition, under the call “Greece 1821-Greece 2021”, seven projects with a total budget of 1.05 million euros were included for funding.
Also included in the priority axis “Education, Culture, Tourism and Sports”, 11 projects related to the “Utilization of the building stock of Municipalities”, with a total budget of 38.7 million euros, which include actions for the construction and maintenance of schools, as well as four projects related to “Maintenance of municipal open sports facilities, school units, accessibility for the disabled”, with a total budget of 4.7 million euros.
It is noted that projects were funded for the first time, with a total funding of 46.7 million euros, for 13 beneficiaries who have not yet been included in the program, such as the urban revitalization project for actions and interventions for sustainable urban development of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace in the Municipality of Nestos and the Municipality of Paggaio. Following this, there are now only three beneficiary municipalities that have not yet joined the program.
“We continue at a steady pace the inclusion of projects in the” Antonis Tritsis “Program. Having as a priority the widest possible geographical coverage, we want every municipality in the country to benefit from the development dynamics of the Program”, said Mr. Petsas.
