Inclusion of 19 reforms and projects amounting to 2.5 billion euros in the Development Program of Strategic Contracts

The inclusion of nineteen reforms and projects amounting to 2.5 billion euros in the Development Program of Strategic Contracts was decided by the Government Committee on Strategic Contracts, which met for the first time yesterday, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Konstantinos Karamanlis.

The meeting also decided on the definition of the Fund for the Utilization of Public Private Property (HRDH), as a body for maturation, conducting the tender and monitoring the execution of the contracts of these projects. The selection of HRDH as a maturation body mainly for projects financed by the Recovery Fund was made in order to utilize its experience and know-how in accelerating the implementation of projects and unloading the ministries. With the support of HRDH in the administrative structures, it is expected to achieve close monitoring, coordination and ensuring the performance of consultants in order to complete the projects faster.

These are a total of sixteen (16) projects of the Ministries of Health, Justice, Development & Investment, Environment and Energy, Culture and Sports as well as the Attica Region, which have been included in the National Plan for Recovery and Sustainability (“Greece 2.0”). In addition, a project of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, which will be financed through the Public Investment Program (PDE) and two projects of the Ministry of Citizen Protection, which are planned to be implemented through Public-Private Partnerships, were included in the Strategic Contracts Development Program. PPP). The stages and the specific content of the cooperation of each beneficiary with the HRDH will be determined in the next phase and will be reflected in the content of the contract between them.

The first meeting of the Government Committee on Strategic Contracts was attended by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, the Minister of Finance Christos Staikouras, the Minister of Development and Investment Adonis Georgiadis, the Minister of Culture and Sports Lina Mendoisos, the Minister of Interior Voridis, the Minister of State responsible for digital governance Kyriakos Pierrakakis, the Minister of State George Gerapetritis, the Minister of State Akis Skertsos, the Deputy Minister of Finance Thodoros Skylakos Nikos Of the Ministry of Finance Nikos Koulocheris, the Secretary General of Public Investments and NSRF of the Ministry of Development and Investment Dimitris Skalkos, the Secretary General of Private Investments and Partnerships of the Ministry of Development and Investment of the Ministry of Development and Investments Orestis Kavalakis, Orestis Kavalakis of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport Maria-Elli Gerardi, the Secretary General of Coordination of the Government Thanasis Kontogeorgis, and the Mandated Advisor of the HRDH Panagiotis Stampoulidis.
