The CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) started in recent days a campaign against racial discrimination and violence in Brazilian stadiums. Plaques with phrases against racism were placed in the matches of competitions organized by the entity, and the campaign symbol began to be stamped on the clubs’ uniforms.
The confederation also hosted a seminar on the subject. During the event, an annual report pointed to the increase in cases of discrimination within stadiums since 2014, with the exception of 2020, when the calendar was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Last year, a total of 158 cases were reported.
