The prices of residential construction materials increased in 2021, both, according to the data announced by ELSTAT, with prices for the whole year increasing by 3.8% compared to those of 2020.
More specifically, the General Price Index of Construction Materials for New Residential Buildings in December 2021, compared to the corresponding index of December 2020, showed an increase of 7.1%, compared to a decrease of 0.2% when comparing the respective indices of the year 2020 with in 2019.
The General Index in December 2021, compared to the index of November 2021, showed an increase of 0.4%, compared to an increase of 0.3% recorded during the comparison of the respective months of the year 2020.
The average index of the twelve months January 2021 – December 2021, compared to the corresponding index of the twelve months January 2020 – December 2020, showed an increase of 3.8%, compared to a decrease of 0.2% compared to the previous twelve months.
