Increase in respiratory diseases
The month of December hasn’t even ended and already adds up more visits for respiratory diseases than the whole month of November in the city of São Paulo. The month-to-month increase was 144%.
Fiocruz defends vaccination of children against Covid-19
The vaccination of children from the age of five was advocated by Fiocruz, in Rio de Janeiro. The foundation released a note in which it says it considers the vaccination of this age group essential. According to Fiocruz, the immunization of children serves to prevent hospitalizations and deaths from the disease, in addition to reducing the transmission of the virus.
Santos Dumont airport concession
The mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes (PSD), stated that he is considering questioning in court the model adopted by the Federal Government in the concession of Santos Dumont airport. The auction of the unit is scheduled to take place in September of next year.
IGP-M result
The General Market Price Index (IGP-M), known as rent inflation, increased by 0.87% in December. The data was released this Wednesday by the Getúlio Vargas Foundation.
Rains at the end of the year
The last days of the year must be of intense rain in much of the southeast of the country. This is what the most recent report by the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) points out. Even so, the region’s water reservoirs should close the year in an alert situation.
