The Federal Ministry of Health of India announced today Friday that 7,447 cases of SARS-CoV-2 have been confirmed in the past 24 hours and 391 patients have died due to complications of COVID-19.
With 476,869 deaths out of a total of 34,726,049 infections since the outbreak of the new coronavirus in its territory, the subcontinent of 1.3 billion inhabitants records the third heaviest death toll in the world in absolute terms, behind the USA and the second higher number of cases, behind the US, according to official data.
The so-called active cases decreased to 86,415 (-830 in 24 hours). This is the lowest number recorded since March 2020, always according to the Ministry of Health.
