The Indian embassy in Kiev today called on its citizens to temporarily leave Ukraine citing “tensions and uncertainties” regarding the situation in the country.
“Given the continuing high levels of tension and uncertainty about the situation in Ukraine, all Hindu nationals whose stay is not considered necessary and all Hindu students are temporarily required to leave Ukraine,” the embassy said in a statement.
The embassy also called on Indians to use all available commercial and private flights to leave the country.
This is the second appeal made by the Indian embassy on the same subject. Previously, New Delhi used milder phraseology recommending “the thought of moving away from Ukraine”.
