India’s Civil Aviation Authority ordered inspections at all Boeing 787 flying with local airlines, after the tragic Air India incident and the deaths of 270 people, the Aviation Minister said today, adding that authorities are investigating all possible causes of the fall. The same service yesterday ordered additional technical inspections for the Boeing 787-8/9 fleet carrying GENX engines, including evaluations of the main aircraft take-off parameters, controls of electronic engines, and fuel-related controls. “At the same time, the relevant orders are extending to extensive inspections of aircraft 787, as 34 of them are operating in the fleet of India,” Air Force Minister Ramhan Naidu told reporters in New Delhi.
