India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 5.4% year-on-year in the third fiscal quarter of 2022, which extended from October to December 2021, according to the Indian Ministry of Statistics on Monday (28).
The result represents an acceleration compared to the annual expansion of the same period of fiscal 2021, of 0.4%, but also shows a deceleration compared to the performance of the immediately previous fiscal quarter, when the Indian economy grew 8.4%.
Turkey’s GDP
Also on Monday, Turkstat, Turkey’s statistics agency, announced that the country’s GDP grew by 9.1% in the fourth quarter of 2021, compared to the same period of the previous year. In comparison with the third quarter, the increase was 1.5%, after seasonal adjustments.
Turkish GDP increased by 11.0% in the whole of 2021, compared to 2020, the agency also informed.
In the third quarter of 2021, year-over-year growth was 7.5%, revised up on Monday, from the previously reported 7.4% high.
