The elected President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), confirmed this Thursday (29) that federal deputy André de Paula (PSD-PE) will be the Minister of Fisheries, as anticipated on Wednesday by the report of the Broadcast, Grupo Estado’s real-time news system.
The folder was delivered after an agreement that handed over to PSD, União Brasil and MDB three ministries each, as a way to improve governance from next year.
André de Paula was an indication of the PSD bench in the Chamber, which has 42 deputies, a number considered expressive and fundamental for Lula to approve projects of interest to the Executive.
In addition to Fisheries, the PSD will control the Ministry of Mines and Energy, with Senator Alexandre Silveira (MG), and the Ministry of Agriculture, with Senator Carlos Fávaro (PSD-MT).
The PSD summit and the mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, tried to place federal deputy Pedro Paulo (PSD-RJ) in the Ministry of Tourism, but his name was vetoed in the PT due to the accusations, filed by the Justice, of domestic violence against his ex-wife.
