The Central Bank (BC) reported this Wednesday (20) that reports, notes and indicators that are pending or scheduled for the next few days will be released as soon as possible, after civil servants of the municipality approved the day before the suspension of a strike that started at the beginning of the month.
The BC advisory stated in a note that it will inform at least 24 hours in advance the dates on which the indicators will be released, which include the Focus bulletin, the Savings Report and the IBC-Br.
The strike by the institution’s employees for salary increases had been affecting several routine publications in recent weeks.
Despite its suspension, BC servers will continue to work on a standard operating regime, with partial daily shutdowns, employee representatives said last Tuesday.
Economy Ministry sources told Reuters the government decided to grant a 5% raise to all civil servants – who have been pushing for raises in several categories – starting in July, but the proposal has yet to be publicly announced.
Treasury and Budget Special Secretary Esteves Colnago said this week that there are other alternatives on the table.
