Indonesia, already a customer of French defense industries, is considering ordering additional Rafale fighter aircraft, light frigates, SCORPène submarines and Caesar firearms, French Defense Minister Sebastian Lekorni said today. During the official visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Jakarta, Lekorni announced the signing of a “letter of intentions” with his Indonesian counterpart Samsudin for the future acquisition of “additional rafale from Dassault by Dass. Caesar and related ammunition by KNDS France, ”as he wrote in a post on the X platform. No numbers or timetables have been identified so far.
