Indonesia signed a contract for the purchase of 48 Kaan fighter aircraft from Turkey

Turkey has signed a contract for the purchase of 48 KAAN (TAI) fighter jets (TAI) by the Indonesian government, as the country of Southeast Asia seeks to modernize its overwhelming Air Force material. In the context of the project, Jakarta also ordered 42 Dassault Aviation fighters from France in 2022, while still considering it to have a J-10 (Chengdu) fighters from China and F-15EX (Boeing) from the US. Jakarta and Ankara signed a “applicable contract” on Saturday, on the sidelines of the defense industry in Istanbul, according to a spokesman for the Indonesian Defense Ministry.
