An “indoor” marijuana cultivation scheme was dismantled by a police investigation, this Tuesday (19), in Itacaré, a famous tourist destination located in the south of Bahia. The drug was grown indoors and sold in the region.
A drug dealer was also arrested red-handed by the police. According to the investigation, he was a member of a faction and was responsible for burying the drugs in barrels, distributing them to his associates and accounting for the trade values .
Around 50 kg of the drug known as ‘skunk’, which is a high-quality type of drug, were seized. The marijuana was buried in the barrels at the points used by the criminals.
Two search and seizure warrants were executed. In addition to the drugs, ammunition, scales and other materials were also seized. The Public Security Secretariat (SSP) reported that state and federal forces are in the city carrying out searches to arrest other members of the faction.
