Industrial production fell in 10 of the 15 places surveyed in June compared to May, according to data from the Monthly Industrial Survey – Regional Physical Production, released by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) this Tuesday (9).
In São Paulo, the largest industrial park in the country, there was an increase of 0.8% in this comparison. The other expansions occurred in Pará (9.8%), Bahia (2.4%), Pernambuco (1%) and Santa Catarina (0.2%).
In the opposite direction, there were losses in Mato Grosso (-2.8%), Rio de Janeiro (-2.4%), Espírito Santo (-2.3%), Ceará (-1.4%), Amazonas (- 1.6%), Rio Grande do Sul (-0.5%), Goiás (-0.4%), Paraná (-0.3%) and Minas Gerais (-0.1%) and Northeast Region (- 0.6%).
In the global average, the national industry fell 0.4% in June compared to May.

Industrial production fell in five of the 15 locations surveyed in June 2022 compared to June 2021, according to the IBGE. In São Paulo, the country’s largest industrial park, there was a rise of 0.3%.
The other increases occurred in Mato Grosso (18.8%), Bahia (11.9%), Paraná (7.3%), Goiás (3.5%), Rio Grande do Sul (3%), Northeast Region ( 2.9%), Pernambuco (1.7%), Santa Catarina (0.6%) and Ceará (0.2%).
The places with drops in industrial production were Rio de Janeiro (-4%), Minas Gerais (-3.8%), Pará (-3.6%), Amazonas (-3.2%) and Espírito Santo (- 2.2%).
On the global average, the national industry fell by 0.5% in June 2022 compared to June last year.
