Infineon: Revenue for the second quarter increased by 22%

Infineon, the leading processor supply company for the automotive industry, announced a 22% increase in second-quarter revenue and upgraded its outlook for the full year as it benefits from the global shortage of semiconductors.

The German company upgraded its estimates for 2022 revenues for the second time by 500 million euros to about 13.5 billion euros, plus / minus 500 million euros.

He also predicted that quarterly revenues would reach 3.4 billion euros, compared to estimates for 3.26 billion euros.

“Uncertainties worldwide, particularly with regard to the war in Ukraine and the further course of the pandemic, are putting pressure on supply chains,” said CEO Jochen Hanebeck.

“Demand for our products and solutions continues to significantly exceed supply,” he added.

Infineon revenue rose to 3.30 billion euros in the second quarter, compared to estimates for 3.21 billion euros.
