The Consumer Price Index (IPC), which measures inflation in the city of São Paulo, rose 0.53% in the third quadrissemana of November, gaining strength in relation to the high of 0.5%, which had been registered in the seven days previous. The data were published this Friday morning (25), by the Economic Research Institute Foundation (Fipe).
In the third reading of November, there was a price increase in six of the seven items that make up the IPC-Fipe. Five groups experienced acceleration in this growth: Transportation (from 0.85% in the second four-week period to 0.95% in the third four-week period), Personal Expenses (from 0.5% to 0.65%), Clothing (from 1.1 % to 1.25%), Health (from 1.26% to 1.27%) and Education (from 0.12% to 0.13%).
The Food group, which is one of those that weigh most on the family budget, had a deceleration in growth compared to the previous seven days, but it is still on the rise (from 0.77% to 0.7%).
On the other hand, Housing costs fell, but less than in the previous four weeks. If in the previous week the decrease was 0.1%, in the last measurement it was 0.09%.
