The Consumer Price Index (CPI), which measures inflation in the city of São Paulo, rose 0.09% in the third quadrissemana of September, decelerating only marginally in relation to the advance of 0.10% observed in the second quadrissemana of this month.
The data were published this Tuesday (27) by the Economic Research Institute Foundation (Fipe).
In the third reading of September, three of the seven components of the IPC-Fipe rose with less force or increased deflation: Housing (from 0.99% in the second four-week period to 0.70% in the third four-week period), Transport (from -1.77% to -1.84%) and Apparel (from 0.54% to 0.48%).
On the other hand, in the same period, there was acceleration in the categories Personal Expenses (from 1.63% to 1.65%) and Health (from 0.50% to 0.76%), in addition to lower deflation in Food (from – 0.95% to -0.64%).
In the case of Education, costs increased 0.10% in the third quarter of September, repeating the variation of the two previous previews.
