The Euro zone Consumer Price Index rose 0.9% monthly in March, as expected, well above the 0.2% in February. This is the highest result seen since March 2019. The annual CPI has increased by 1.3%, meeting forecasts, and exceeding the 0.9% of the previous month, being the highest figure recorded since January 2020.
Monthly core inflation has grown 1%, in line with estimates. The February figure has also been revised up to 1% from 0.1%. The year-on-year indicator has risen 0.9%, as expected, falling below the 1.1% in February.
