Model and influencer Izabelle Marques, known for Belly Palma died on Monday (29).
According to the statement published on Instagram, Belly suffered a choking followed by a cardiac arrest on Friday (26). Since then, the influencer remained hospitalized, but could not resist and had brain death.
Belly Palma was born with a spinal cord malformation known as myelomeningocele. Throughout her life, she underwent more than 35 surgeries. As a wheelchair user, she sought to speak openly on social media about the challenges faced by people with disabilities through fashion.
Graduated in Business Administration from FAAP, Belly worked as an inclusive business consultant with a focus on inclusive fashion, in addition to giving lectures on the subject.
“No one is perfect, we are all PCDs in some way. My biggest tool, in addition to social networks, is inclusive fashion, which is the first place of choice for a person with a disability, the possibility of being whoever I want to be based on what I wear, expression! My biggest mission is to lead and activate inclusive thinking, fashion is not just about clothes, but about behaviors and people”, says Belly on her official website.
