A video recently published on TikTok influencer Anna Carolina Davila went viral on rescue the famous MSN including traditional “winks”, statuses and even the iconic moment of “getting the other user’s attention” in the chat tab.
The publication, which already has more than 1.4 million views, surprised internet users who began to wonder about a possible return of the platform – which was born in 1999 and was successful in the 2000s.
It is worth mentioning, however, that the network's activities were definitively closed in 2014. The tool used by Anna is called “MSN Escargot” and was created by independent developers to emulate the old application.

And how to access MSN in 2024?
In another publication, the influencer takes the opportunity to explain how to use the tool.
First of all, it is important to explain that it is not possible to access the original account, but to create a new profile and add other users who also use the application.
See the step by step:
- Access: escargot.chat/ and click on “Download”;
- Then, press “MSN/Windows Live Messenger” and set the application language on the subsequent page;
- Finally, define which version of MSN you want to download or click “Download” to download the recommended option.
