The digital influencer Lucas Estevam reported, on social networks, that the airline Azul denied that he proposed to his boyfriend during a flight between Fort Lauderdale (USA) and Campinas, on the night of Wednesday (8).
“I just experienced my worst flight of my life. I never imagined being so frustrated. I felt so neglected I could barely speak. I just cried from the disappointment that was planning something so beautiful and special and being forbidden to demonstrate on board, ”he reported.
According to Estevam, the captain of the aircraft would have refused to authorize the request and claimed that, for such requests, it would be necessary to contact Azul’s marketing team.
The influencer then went to the galley – the plane’s kitchen – and proposed to her boyfriend. “I turned around at 30 to be able to take a picture without the Azul logo appearing (the pilot asked for it). And none of the crew offered to take our picture or help,” he added.
In a statement, the airline reported that it “became aware of and investigated the situation internally”. The company reiterated that “it was not consulted about the celebration that would be held, which included the use of electronic equipment in the customer cabin”.
Still according to Azul, the flight crew contacted the company and after being authorized, they organized and assisted in the marriage proposal, made in the galley.
