Influencer took sexy photos against the backdrop of her father’s open coffin and provoked reactions

A woman from Florida caused a lot of reactions on social media after her decision to take pictures with sexy poses in front of the open coffin at her father’s funeral. The 20-year-old was described by users as “disgusting” for her choice.

Earlier this week, Jayne Rivera shared photos of herself in a blazer mini dress with a deep neckline, black tights and high heeled boots in striking poses right next to her father’s coffin.

The images quickly went viral on Reddit and Twitter, gaining a lot of publicity. The influencer, however, insisted to NBC News that “there was nothing wrong with what I published and I insist on it.” In fact, she said, her father backed up her career as a “full-time influencer”, so it made sense to include his dead body on her page at Instagram.

In the photos, Rivera looks far from being mournful, showing off her outfit while lifting her heel, making a fake prayer pose and giving a close-up smile to the camera.

Following the reactions, Instagram deleted her profile

The reactions were so strong that Instagram has since deactivated her account, most likely in response to the many reports she has received. However, Rivera insists it did not violate community guidelines by posting the photos.

Her father, Jose Antonio Rivera, died on October 11 at the age of 56. The comments on social media were too many and they asked the young influencer to delete the post while they scolded her for the inappropriate photo.

But the young woman insisted that she took the photos “with the best of intentions in a way that her father would approve if he were still alive”.

“Everyone handles the loss of a loved one in their own way. “Some are more traditional, while others can be considered taboo,” he said.

Rivera said she spent eight years “building her audience” on social media and her father had appeared on her account – so it made sense to include his funeral.
