Seven digital influencers from Juiz de Fora, in the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais, were arrested on Tuesday morning (28), in the Proverbs 16:18 operation, launched by the Civil Police of Minas Gerais (PCMG).
The action investigates cases of money laundering, criminal organization, illegal raffle and tax evasion.
Among those arrested is Wesley Alves, an influencer with almost 300 thousand followers on social media. The names of the others have not yet been released.
On the Internet, they boasted a life of luxury and travel. The detainees held raffles for luxury vehicles.
Until the afternoon of this Wednesday (29), the police seized 24 vehicles, in addition to closing commercial establishments and seizing 200 packets of cigarettes and cell phones.
