Influencers Kérollen Cunha and Nancy Gonçalves who delivered a banana and a stuffed monkey to black children were indicted for the crime of racism.
A video released by lawyer Fayda Belo showed the two women delivering “gifts”.
The Racial Crimes and Intolerance Offenses Department launched a procedure and the videos were analyzed to identify everyone involved. According to Decradi, the investigation was concluded and forwarded to the Court.
The Public Ministry received almost 700 complaints about the case at the time and stated in a note that the data was forwarded to the 2nd Public Prosecutor’s Office for Specialized Criminal Investigation in the Capital, for analysis and adoption of appropriate measures.

A video, which is no longer available on the channels, released by lawyer Fayda Belo, showed influencers Kérollen Cunha and Nancy Gonçalves playing a kind of game with two black children and asking them if they preferred money or a gift.
The children chose the gifts and the women gave a banana to one of the children and a stuffed monkey to another.
The perpetrators of the crime published content on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube and had more than 13 million followers.
