It will be a very feminine Europe that of the next decades, at least in terms of monarchies, but if until a few years ago it was still hard to imagine it, today that the queens of tomorrow have all, or nearly all, come of age, it is easier to look away. A photo was enough to make concrete what will be, published on the website and on the official accounts of the Norwegian Royal House on the occasion of the birthday party of Ingrid Alexandra, second in line of succession to the throne.
The princess posed alongside three other future queens: Catharina Amalia of Holland18 years, Elizabeth of Belgium20, ed Estelle of Sweden, 10. For the occasion, the older princesses also wore the tiara for the first time, another step towards the future as queens. With them in the shot, only a future reigning prince, the little one Charles of Luxembourg, 2 years old, who belongs to a different generation and who will probably have to wait a long time before ascending the throne. The princess, in fact, he turned 18 on January 21st, but due to the restrictions due to the pandemic, it was decided to postpone everything to a moment of greater serenity. The right choice, because the party was a real success.
There were moments of emotion, especially when the princess spoke. «Dear mom and dad, thank you very much for what you have given me. Mom, we can talk about anything, thanks for lying on the sofa with me to watch shows like Sex and The City. Dad, thanks for taking us skiing and surfing, stay calm when we’re not. I am so grateful for your support and I know you will always support me. Marius and Magnus, you are my safety net, ”the birthday girl said, addressing her parents and siblings. Ingrid also reserved words full of affection for her grandparents, King Harald and Queen Sonia, always by her side.
