At the Royal Palace in Oslo, everything is ready for the princess’s 18th birthday party Ingrid Alexandra, but the weekend of celebrations has already officially begun. On Thursday June 16, the second in line to the throne participated in a special evening organized at the library Deichman Bjørvika of the capital.
For her, a dinner, offered by the government. The beautiful princess Monique Lhuillier in white was welcomed by Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Mayor Marianne Borgen and Finance Minister Trygve Slagsvold Vedum.

The princess was there too Märtha Louise, Ingrid’s aunt and boyfriend Durek Verret, making its official debut at a public event within the royal family. Among the guests, there were also 25 boys and girls of the same age as the princess who arrived from different municipalities in the country, part of the Norway of the future that Ingrid will lead one day; 200 total guests.
It was a cultural themed evening which, in fact, marked the princess’s debut in her adult life.
To underline the occasion, three new official shots made by Ida Bjørvik have been released. And Ingrid Alexandra, for the first time, also wore a tiara. This is the Boucheron Pearl Circle Tiara, received as a gift for her birthday. A very precious piece, purchased at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1900. In platinum and diamonds, it was later embellished with a series of pearls. He will certainly wear it also on the occasion of the party on June 17, which will be attended by many crowned heads arriving from all over Europe.
