Inmates who escaped from federal prison participated in riot with five dead in Acre

Inmates Deibson Cabral Nascimento (33) and Rogério da Silva Mendonça (35), who escaped from the Federal Penitentiary of Mossoró (RN), this Wednesday (14), participated in a rebellion, in July last year, in the State of Acre, which ended with five dead.

According to the Acre State Public Ministry (MPAC), both were transferred to Rio Grande do Norte after participating in the rebellion that lasted more than 24 hours. During the action, security agents were taken hostage and injured. Sources in the area of ​​justice in the state of Acre confirm that the dead were members of rival factions – three of them were beheaded.

Data from the Acre Court of Justice reveal that Deibson, who is also known as “Tatu”, is responsible for drug trafficking, theft and criminal organization crimes. Rogério, who is known as “Querubin” faces charges for the crimes of qualified homicide and robbery.

The Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime (Gaeco) in Acre reported that it became aware of the escape in the early hours of this Wednesday (14), and that it is working with other institutions to ensure that the fugitives are recaptured.
