Chinese manufacturer of computer and mining equipment InnoSilicon began supplying ASIC miners for mining ETH A11 Pro, but the efficiency of the device turned out to be lower than declared.
According to the description on the company’s website, the miner’s hash rate is 2,000 Mh / s with an energy consumption of 2.5 kW / h. This is 30% more efficient than the best models for mining ETH. However, the Chinese distributors who received the A11 Pro ASIC miners this week claim that the device has a hashrate of actually 1,500 Mh / s and the power consumption reaches 2.35 kWh.
Thus, the efficiency of the new ASIC miner is 1.56 W at Mx / s. This is still the best indicator on the market, but it is 20% worse than the manufacturer originally stated. Interestingly, with InnoSilicon’s stated price of $ 17,000 per unit, distributors are selling the A11 Pro for about $ 27,000.
The information is also confirmed by the ASIC Miner Value portal, where a warning was published that the hashrate of the A11 Pro miners is 1,500 Mh / s. At the same time, the site notes that the first batch of devices will have such performance.
In April, Bitmain introduced its Antminer E9 miner for mining ETH. The hash rate of the device was reported to be around 3,000 Mh / s with a power consumption of 2,556 Wh. Device shipments have not yet begun.
