INSS opens competition with 1,000 vacancies and salary of R$ 5,900; see how to sign up

The National Institute of Social Security (INSS) published, this Thursday (15), the tender notice for 1,000 vacancies for social security technicians.

According to a publication in the Federal Official Gazette, the initial gross salary is R$ 5,905.79 for a 40-hour workweek.

As a prerequisite, the candidate, at least 18 years old, must have completed high school or equivalent technical course, have Brazilian or Portuguese nationality, be in good standing with political rights and up to date with electoral obligations. For male candidates, you must comply with military obligations.

Of the 1,000 vacancies, 90 will be for people with disabilities and 202 for self-declared blacks, equivalent to 5% and 20% of the total, respectively.

Applications are open from Friday (16) to October 3 at the Cebraspe website (former Cespe/UnB). The registration fee, to be paid until October 21, is R$ 85. Candidates with an updated registration in the CadÚnico system may request total exemption from payment, as well as bone marrow donors recognized by the Ministry of Health.

The selection process includes objective tests, scheduled to take place on November 27, which will last 3h30, 50 basic knowledge questions and another 70 specific knowledge questions. Official answers, test results and calls for a biopsychosocial assessment – ​​necessary for those who choose to apply for the vacancies for self-declared blacks and people with disabilities – will be announced the following month, on December 22nd.

There will also be a qualifying and qualifying training course in the cities of Belém (PA), Belo Horizonte (MG), Brasília (DF), Florianópolis (SC), Fortaleza (CE), João Pessoa (PB), Manaus (AM ), Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and São Paulo (SP). The workload is up to 180 full-time face-to-face hours, to be developed in the day and night shifts.

The registered candidate will receive financial aid corresponding to 50% of the salary for the position (R$ 2,952). Afterwards, the training course will have two tests: one objective, composed of 120 questions, and another discursive, with two questions. The final grade will be the sum of the objective tests and the final grade obtained in the training course.

Those who pass the contest will be called, according to their classification in the exams, to work in Social Security Agencies scattered throughout the country. Among the activities to be performed are:

  • Customer Service;
  • Advice on administrative processes;
  • Instruction, processing and handling of processes and documents;
  • Conducting studies, research and information gathering;
  • Drafting of public notices, contracts, agreements and other administrative and regulatory acts.

The last INSS public contest, published in 2015, had more than 1 million applicants for 950 vacancies — 850 of these for the position of social security technician. At the time, competition for the category was 1,304 candidates per vacancy.
