The National Institute of Social Security (INSS) released, this Thursday (8), the payment schedule for 2023, which includes more than 37 million retirees, pensioners and other insured persons.
The calendar is divided according to the amount that the insured person is entitled to, from the lowest salary to the highest, and according to the benefit number. Those who receive up to one minimum wage will start paying in the last week of the month, while insured persons with income above the social security floor will have their deposits started in the first week of the following month.
In January, for example, workers entitled to a monthly income of up to one minimum wage will have deposits for the month between January 25th and February 7th; those who receive above the floor will be entitled to payment from the 1st of February.
It is worth remembering that deposits are interrupted on weekends, national holidays and dates when banks do not operate.
In order to know when the payment will be deposited, the insured must have the final number of the benefit card in hand, without considering the last check digit (the one that comes after the dash).
For example, in benefit number (NB) 123.456.789 -0, the final digit is 9.
For those who have been receiving the benefit for “some time”, according to the official statement from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the usual date applies.
The amounts referring to next year will already be paid with adjustment for inflation.
