Insta360 has released the GO 2 action camera. The dimensions and weight of the device, equal to 52.9 x 23.6 x 20.7 mm and 26.5 g, respectively, allow the manufacturer to call it the smallest action camera in the world.
The camera is capable of shooting video with FlowState electronic image stabilization. This mode is called Pro Video. It has resolutions of 2560 x 1440 pixels and 1920 x 1080 pixels. In both cases, you can choose a frame rate of 30 or 50 fps. The same options are available in Video mode with basic stabilization. In HDR mode, frequency selection is limited to 24 and 25 fps. Shooting with a slow motion effect is possible. In this case, a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels is selected, and the frame rate is 120 fps. Of course, there is also an opportunity to take photographs, including – to conduct interval, panoramic and night photography.
The camera uses a 1 / 2.3-inch optical format image sensor and an 11.24 mm EGF lens with an f / 2.2 aperture. The choice of shutter speed, sensitivity in the range of ISO 100-3200 and white balance occurs automatically. There are shutter priority or ISO priority modes, as well as a fully manual mode. In them, the shutter speed is selected in the range of 1 / 8000-1 / 30 s, the light sensitivity is in the range of ISO 100-3200. Exposure compensation within ± 4 EV and manual selection of white balance (2700K, 4000K, 5000K, 6500K, 7500K) are provided.
The GO 2 camera is water resistant (IPX8), so it can be used at depths of up to 4 m. The lens is covered with an interchangeable protective lens. Users can replace this lens with a ND filter sold separately.
With its tiny form factor, built-in magnet and included accessories, GO 2 is easy to attach anywhere, like garments.
Depending on the mode, the time of continuous video recording is up to 20 or 30 minutes. GO 2 comes with a charging case that fully charges your camera in half an hour. Taking these recharges into account, the total shooting time reaches 110 or 150 minutes. The case can be used as a tripod or a camera grip. It has a standard 1/4 ” threaded attachment point and Bluetooth interface, giving the case the function of a remote control with a range of 10 m.
