Instagram allows you (finally) to edit the messages you send

Goodbye to chat gaffes: Instagram is updated with a function that could save you from unpleasant inconveniences. In fact, during these days rumors are circulating online regarding the «Friend Map» or a feature of the social network presumably still under development that would allow you to know the location of your friends in real time on the map, Mark Zuckerberg's company reveal three important innovations.

The first, particularly useful for those who often use i direct i.e. direct messages, allows you to edit a text message within 15 minutes of sending: From a simple typo to a change of heart, just hold down the offending message and then tap on Edit in the drop-down menu to update the text.

The second new feature introduced, however, is of greater interest to those who have a particularly crowded conversation list: it is possible highlight up to three conversations so as not to lose sight of them. To “pin” a chat just swipe to the left and tap on Fixed.

Finally, now it is possible Not send read confirmation of the messages directly by going to your account settings and then to Messages and responses to stories > Show read receipts And by deactivating the toggle corresponding to the entry Read receipts.

All interesting: but since when will you be able to use these functions? According to what was announced by Meta, the release of these new features is already underway but gradual: however, if it is already possible for some users to fully exploit them, for others it may take a few weeks before they are available on their device.
