The social network Instagram has been facing instability in its functions since Tuesday afternoon (4), when users noticed that direct messages (DMs) were not being loaded. Later the stories function also stopped working.
THE CNN contacted Meta, the company that manages the application, who reported that the problem had been resolved.
“Earlier today, a technical issue caused some people to experience issues with messaging on Messenger, Instagram and Workplace. We resolve this as quickly as possible for everyone impacted and apologize for any inconvenience,” said a spokesperson for Meta.
However, Instagram remains fluctuating, according to the website Downdetector, which monitors the instability of some apps.
In the last 24 hours, Downdetector has recorded a higher volume of instability than usual. The platform reports an incident when the number of problem reports is significantly higher than expected.
On Twitter, users used the social network to comment on the ‘fall’ of Instagram and the subject became Trends Topics with more than 43,500 mentions.
