Instagram launches new tool to help people who had their account hacked

Instagram announced this Thursday (15) the launch of a new tool to help people who lost access to their accounts on the social network.

According to the platform, the user who is unable to log in must enter the address instagram.com/hacked in the mobile browser or on a desktop.

The platform has a form for the customer to determine whether he believes he has been hacked, has forgotten his password or has had his account deactivated.

Next, steps will be presented so that it is possible for the user to recover it.

Instagram reinforced that it has been working on ways to avoid and prevent hackers.

Among the measures cited are: removing accounts that the automated system considers malicious, testing sending warnings if a suspicious account requests to follow a user, and displaying the blue verification badge for verified accounts in more places on Instagram , to more quickly determine whether an account is authentic.

The platform reinforced that it continues with tools to make its user accounts more secure, such as using two-factor authentication and Instagram security verification.
