The team at popular social networking site Instagram, part of Meta (formerly Facebook), is gearing up to launch paid subscriptions that will allow users to “sponsor” content creators.

The feature has not yet been officially launched, but the App Store has already listed pricing for Instagram subscriptions for different regions. In the US, the subscription price is $ 0.99, in Russia – 99 rubles.
Previously, the App Store indicated only prices for Instagram Badge (Icons) of different levels: 99 rubles, 179 rubles and 449 rubles (in the US – from 0.99 to 4.99 dollars). These are various virtual objects that subscribers could buy to support their favorite authors.
It is noted that a paid subscription will allow users to see content that is not available to everyone else. Authors will be able to release such exclusive content to paid subscribers. Feature testing is expected to begin soon.
