Instagram continues to show its interest in protecting the safety and well-being of users. In fact, after the recent debut of the sticker to add links in Stories and the latest features to protect younger members including the invitation to set the account as “private” is Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, to announce through his Twitter profile the imminent arrival of a novelty that will remind us, from time to time, to look up from the smartphone screen.
Baptized as “Take a break», This function – already being tested in some devices – was created with the aim of avoid an excessive stay on the social network and displays a full-screen alert prompting us to do other activities such as listening to our favorite music, doing breathing exercises, or writing a to-do list.
“This week we started testing a new feature called”take a break“” explains Mosseri in the tweet and continue «Activating this control allows you to receive reminders in-app to take a break after a period of time of your choice “: in fact, by enabling this feature, we will be able to decide if the alert should appear every 10, 20 or 30 minutes of continuous use of Instagram. However, this feature does not impose strict pauses but is just a simple reminder as all you need to do is tap the button Done to put the notification away and continue using the app.
To date, however, we have no official information on the final launch of Take a break even if, according to what was anticipated by Mosseri, it could arrive in our devices already during the month of December.
