Instruction in Scotland: Do not call children in ‘boys’ or ‘girls’ care structures to prevent transgender people

Children’s Institutions in Scotland have been instructed not to call the minor guests “boys” or “girls” in order to avoid infringement of transgender children. The Care Inspecture has said that children’s institutions should always use “gender -free language”. According to the Daily Mail, in a guide published last week, it is noted that the phrase “come boys and girls” is not considered “good practice LGBT” and it is suggested to be replaced by the phrase “Come together”.
