Rumors that the top-end Intel Arc Alchemist graphics card will compete with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 and 3070 Ti have been around for a long time, and now more specifics have appeared on this score. In terms of performance, the model on the top GPU DG2-512 (with 512 execution units) is compared with the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, but the video card on the DG2-448 will compete with the usual GeForce RTX 3070. Such a GPU is confirmed by Intel itself: it was listed in the Mesa database, an open source driver for OpenGL and Vulkan.
The entire line of Intel Arc Alchemist GPUs is now being built. Earlier, Intel officially confirmed the top-end and initial models with 512 and 128 execution units (DG2-512 and DG2-128, respectively), now the pre-top DG2-448 is confirmed. According to rumors, there will be more DG2-384 and DG2-256. Of course, it is far from the fact that all these GPUs will be used in serial video cards, but at the moment the Arc Alchemist line looks exactly like this – with five models.
