Intel has not yet managed to interest manufacturers with the new ATX12VO power connector

We first learned about the new 10-pin ATX12VO power connector a year ago, but so far it has not received any tangible distribution.

Intel is reportedly trying to actively promote a new socket for motherboards designed for the upcoming Alder Lake processors. However, the manufacturers of these same motherboards, together with the manufacturers of power supplies, are not particularly in a hurry to support Intel.

Intel has not yet managed to interest manufacturers with the new ATX12VO power connector

Most companies are not going to use the ATX12VO in high-end motherboards just yet. Perhaps this is due to an even greater rise in the cost of such models due to the fact that it is the board that should deal with voltage conversion within the framework of the new standard. But at the same time, ATX12VO connector will be more common in entry-level motherboards for system integrators and manufacturers of ready-made PCs.

The bottom line is that it allows you to halve the power consumption of the system in idle mode, which is important for corporate clients.

Thus, the mainstream ATX12VO connector will still not be available in the near future.
